ASW Global and the Pearl of the Andaman

February 19 ,2020

Like reading a fantastic trilogy, ASW’s company trips never fail to surprise and inspire me with all the fun, memorable moments and unbeatable team spirit. I have had the chance to enjoy the sea breeze in Bohol, come back to Kuala Lumpur as a tourist, not a businessman, and this time to soak up the sun at the perfect sandy beaches of Phuket, Thailand with our Malaysia team. The sound of laughter, games and a touch of competitiveness all featured in our perfect weekend in one of the best tropical paradises in the world.

After a minor delay, the flight took our ASW team of 28 people and 4 companions from Active Bugs Team Building to the candle-lit Mövenpick Resort & Spa at Karon Beach, where we enjoyed a rest amid lush tropical gardens and incredible swimming pools. On Saturday morning, the team broke a sweat along sandy beaches with passport madness, human chess, innovative ball, water balancing and other exciting team building activities. Thanks to the talented organisers from Active Bugs, everyone had opportunities to make good use of their leadership skills, logic and team work – all to overcome challenges and solve problems.

When the night fell, we enjoyed a cosy and themed dinner in the elegant Pacifica Restaurant and recalled exciting moments we had just enjoyed during the team building games. On Sunday, all staff had a free day to try the shooting range, visit Wat Chalong Temple or go shopping in Patong. As the team took the flight back to Kuala Lumpur for a new working week, I believe everyone took home renewed motivation to tackle the upcoming financial year at ASW.
